Human Motion Analysis: A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Human motion analysis is receiving increasing attention from computer vision researchers. This interest is motivated by a wide spectrum of applications, such as athletic performance analysis, surveillance, man–machine interfaces, content-based image storage and retrieval, and video conferencing. This paper gives an overview of the various tasks involved in motion analysis of the human body. We focus on three major areas related to interpreting human motion: (1) motion analysis involving human body parts, (2) tracking a moving human from a single view or multiple camera perspectives, and (3) recognizing human activities from image sequences. Motion analysis of human body parts involves the low-level segmentation of the human body into segments connected by joints and recovers the 3D structure of the human body using its 2D projections over a sequence of images. Tracking human motion from a single view or multiple perspectives focuses on higher-level processing, in which moving humans are tracked without identifying their body parts. After successfully matching the moving human image from one frame to another in an image sequence, understanding the human movements or activities comes naturally, which leads to our discussion of recognizing human activities. c © 1999 Academic Press

Introduction: Human errors play a significant role in the occurrence of industrial accidents. This study aims to investigate the human errors in cabin roof crane operators of a metal industry using SHERPA and SPAR-H techniques. Material and Method: In this research, first, all of the tasks of the tower crane operator were identified and analyzed. Then, adopting SHERPA technique, p...
متن کاملKnee Laxity or Loss of Knee Range of Motion after PCL Reconstruction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Background. PCL reconstruction is a successful method for enhancing the patientchr('39')s quality of life but posterior knee laxity and knee stiffness have still occurred surgery. There is no study to evaluate knee laxity or loss of knee range of motion after surgery. Objectives. To assess the outcomes after PCL reconstruction, we: 1) evaluated the range of motion of the knee, 2) evaluated pos...
متن کاملSimulation of Human Foot Mechanism with a Degree of Freedom Motion
The need for simulation of human foot mechanism has made researchers and engineers move towards different patterns to describe this movement. In this regard, optimal solutions such as energy consumption, accuracy, etc. are of utmost importance. In this paper, efforts have been made to present a new solution by designing a fully two-dimensional six-bar mechanism with one degree of freedom so tha...

Introduction: Human error plays a significant role in the occurrence of industrial accidents. Displacement and unloading operations are operations in which the occurrence of human error may lead to plenty of human and financial losses. The present study aimed to investigate the possibility of human error occurrence in overhead crane operators in a Steel Company in Hormozgan, Iran. Material & Me...
متن کاملDynamic Analysis of Suspension Footbridges Using an Actual Pedestrian Load Model Compared with EUR23984 EN Requirements
The suspension footbridges are very flexible due to their geometrical structure; hence they may face severe vibration problems induced mainly by natural forces and pedestrians crossing. By exceeding a certain limit, these vibrations can disturb the serviceability of the bridge as well as health and safety of the structure and pedestrians. Therefore, standard design guidelines are sets of recomm...
